Pinehouse RCMP searching for youth following shooting

A youth in Pinehouse is facing aggravated assault charges following a shooting in the community.  

On March 21 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Pinehouse RCMP received a report of a shooting. An investigation determined an interaction occurred between a group of individuals at a residence where a firearm was discharged, resulting in injuries to two victims.  

Both were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.  

As a result, police have charged a male youth who is under the age of 18 with two counts of aggravated assault, as well as numerous other offences. He is wanted on warrant and officers are currently searching for him.   

The individual cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, RCMP will notify the public.
