Snowmobile crash in NWT claims life of Black Lake man
A man from Black Lake has died following a snowmobile crash in the Northwest Territories.
Fort Smith RCMP said the man died on April 5, and the collision involving two vehicles occurred 420km east of the community near the Saskatchewan border.
The other rider suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. RCMP also stated the riders were part of a group of hunters from Saskatchewan, and that they have since left the area.
An investigation is ongoing in partnership with officers from Saskatchewan RCMP as well as Coroner’s Services from both the Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan.
