“There’s a lot of laugh, there’s a lot of fun, and I think sometimes the adults are surprised by how thoughtful the story ends up.”
That’s how Director Mackenzie Dawson describes The Colour of the Town – a new play being presented by the independent theatre company SUM Theatre, based out of Saskatoon.
The show is meant for all ages with a specific focus on families with children. Free shows will be upcoming in Prince Albert and La Ronge.
“Ultimately, it circles around this idea of what if we have different ideas about what’s best for our community, and how can we have those tricky discussions with our neighbours when they disagree and still work together to ensure that our communities are moving together in a good way. Our communities do need this kind of collaboration between all people in order for them to be strong places to live.”
