Plane crashes on Nemeiben Lake

La Ronge RCMP, along with local EMS and the fire department, were called out to the scene of a plane crash on Tuesday.  

Police received a report at approximately 2:25 p.m. of a plane crash on Nemeiben Lake, about 25 kilometers northwest of La Ronge.  

The sole occupant of the plane was assessed by EMS at the scene and did not report physical injuries to police. An investigation determined the plane did not collide with or damage any nearby structures, nor did it injure anyone in the surrounding area. 

La Ronge RCMP advised Transport Canada about the incident, and as it is not criminal in nature, police have no further information they are able to share.
