With students now on their break, there are many programs being offered in the tri-communities to keep them busy until school is back in session.

La Ronge’s Kikinahk Friendship Centre will hosting a summer program with kids aged six to nine in the mornings and then ages 10 to 12 in the afternoon. The program runs July 6 to Aug. 28 from Monday to Friday, and staff will be available to take registrations during the day on July 2.

The program at Kikinahk will focus on outdoor adventures, culture and traditions, arts and crafts, as well as other games and activities.

The Village of Air Ronge will also be hosting a summer program from July 2 to Aug. 21. Programming is for those between the ages of five and 13 with hours being 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Options will include a diverse range of activities such as field trips and sports. Those interested in registering can sign up at the village office.

Gordon Denny Community School and Pre-Cam Community School will both be offering a Summer Literacy Camp from July 13-31. Programming will be offered Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a break during noon hour. Those interested should contact the schools to register.

Finally, the Alex Robertson Public Library will have three summer programs running for the month of July. They include two TD Summer Reading Clubs and a Biology Near Me program. Registration, however, for all three programs is now closed.
