Paramedic making a difference through helmet donations
A safety initiative launched by a northern paramedic is putting ATV helmets in the hands of youth who use the motorized off-highway vehicles as their primary mode of transportation.
Cameron Harrison reached out to multiple businesses in Prince Albert and Saskatoon in 2025 requesting donations of helmets to be given away to children and teens in Saskatchewan’s North. In total, he received 12 helmets, include six from FFun Motorsports, and others from True North Powersports, Rally Motorsports, Recreation Supply Co., Proline Motorsports, and FXR Saskatoon.
“I was impressed. We sent out the letters and honestly, if we had gotten four or five we would be pretty happy,” Harrison remarked.
“We ended coming out with 12, so we were pretty grateful for that. It is quite generous for them to give away helmets as most of the helmets were from $250 to $400.”
