RCMP seek suspect after Canoe Lake assault

Beauval RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of a Meadow Lake man following an assault at a residence on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation.

Police received a report of the assault on Monday at about 12:20 p.m. An investigation found that a man forcibly entered a residence, threatened an occupant with a firearm and assaulted them, where the victim was treated at a local clinic for non-life-threatening injuries.

Brandon McCallum, 24, has been charged with 11 counts of assault and possession-related offences.

Beauval RCMP are actively working to locate and arrest McCallum. He is described as about 6’2″ and 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
