RCMP now believe Ashley Morin was victim of homicide

After a year-long investigation into her disappearance, RCMP believe Ashley Morin was the victim of a homicide.

In a media release marking one year since the now 32-year-old was last seen, the Saskatchewan RCMP have released new information in the case.

Police shared an image of a two-tone van that is lighter on top and darker on the bottom and appears to have no windows.

The van was seen on the corner of 96 St. and 16 Ave. in North Battleford on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at around 9:30 p.m. This is one of the last places Morin was seen.

Police hope the public can identify the occupants of the van as they may hold valuable information in locating Morin.

Saskatchewan RCMP said they are focussed on determining what happened to Ashley and where she is.

To date, officers have found no mobile phone usage, no social media usage, and no bank account activity linked to Morin throughout the year.

To mark the one year anniversary, a group plans to walk from Saskatoon to North Battleford.

“We miss her and we love her,” friend and family spokesperson Krista Fox previously told battlefordsNOW. “She is out there somewhere. We have to do what we can to keep people aware that we are not giving up. We will not give up until we can bring her home.”
