Joan Meyers (nee Ahearn) was born on Saturday, May 23, 1942, in Saskatoon, SK, and passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, in Big River, SK, at the age of 77 years. Joan was the wife to Hugh Meyers for 60 years.  Mother of Cal (Jackie) Meyers, Curt (Lana) Meyers, Shannon (Blair) Sutherland.  Grandmother of Duncan (Laura) Sutherland, Damon (Brittany) Sutherland, Landon (Katelyn) Sutherland, Cody (Kanesha) Meyers, Cole (Amber) Meyers. Great-grandmother of Nick Forysth, Hugh Sutherland, Jaxson Meyers, Tate Meyers. Joan’s life was her family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Hugh and Joan raised their family in Ladder Valley. Joan loved her phone to chat, but never really adventured far from home. Huge thank you to the following people: Hugh Meyers, who did what he could to make sure mom received what she needed so could stay home as long as she did; Curt and Lana, who made sure mom got to her appointments, ate meals and generally looked after her and dad; Dick Braidek, for being a constant visitor; Bob Kennedy, would stop and have a visit; Helen Remple, would bring goodies by and visit. To everyone that would visit with mom and dad. 
Joan is survived by Delaine (Geoff) Hazelett, Lorna (Richard) Park, Perry Ahearn; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Ahearn, Barb Ahearn; and her nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Ahearn; her mother, Velda Ahearn; her brothers, Dale Ahearn, Wayne Ahearn and Barry Ahearn. Joan’s family will celebrate her life privately.
