It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Edith Thompson announces her passing on August 26, 2019 in Prince Albert, SK.

Joyce Edith Bailey was born February 24, 1928 in Weyburn, SK.  She was the last of five children born to Gertrude and Francis Bailey.  Mom’s family resided in the Khedive, SK area before moving north to the Norwood District. Mom married her sweetheart, Lorne Thompson, on July 9, 1949 in Pathlow, SK. They raised four children on their homestead – Clare, Debbie, Diana and Karen.  Family and hard work were Mom’s life and she remained busy on the family farm until December 2014 at which time she moved to Prince Albert. This is where Mom remained until her passing on August 26, 2019.

A Graveside Service was held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Star City Cemetery, Star City, SK.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
