It is with great sorrow that the family announce the passing of Ellen Spence (nee Rollins) on August 5, 2019 at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, SK.

Ellen was born on May 7, 1934 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ellen married Gordon Spence on July 12, 1952 in Prince Albert, SK. She loved flowers and couldn’t wait to get to the green houses. She would buy as many flowers as she could fit in her car. Then make more trips back. She taught herself to play the organ and enjoyed singing along to her favorite songs. Throughout the years she did a lot of crocheting and knitting. She was also a very good cook and enjoyed baking. She had a good sense of humour and was never afraid to laugh at herself. She was kind and caring, and always available to listen if anyone had a problem or concern.

Ellen is predeceased by: husband Gordon Spence; brother Lloyd; brother-in-law Henry Urbaniak. Ellen’s memory will be forever cherished by children: Brian (Imelda)  Prince Albert, SK; Derrick, Prince Albert, SK; Barry, Prince Albert, SK; Lana, Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Bobbie McKenna, Birch Hills, SK; Rahcole (Jordan) Cochet, Moose Jaw, SK; Danielle Spence (Brodie), Prince Albert, SK; Cassandra Spence (Kyle), Estevan, SK, David Elston, Calgary, AB; Kiddie Spence, Prince Albert, SK; eleven great grandchildren, siblings: Dolores (Bob)  Hill, Courtenay Vancouver Island, BC, Gerald (Dianne) Rollins, Courtenay Vancouver Island, BC, and Fern Urbaniak, Henribourg, SK, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

 A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 ~ 12:00 p.m. at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK.
