Ida Alice Grace Hovdebo was born on Friday, September 18, 1936, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, in Duck Lake, SK, at the age of 82 years. Ida is survived by her loving family, her son, John (Cheryl) Hovdebo; her daughters, Carol (Keith) Bjornstad, Ruth Hovdebo (Wayne Galloway), Barbara Gorlay; her grandchildren, Geoff Heimbecker, Lisette Henderson, Vera Hovdebo, Meghan Hovdebo, Nichole Hovdebo, Louis Chenard, Jeremiah Hovdebo, Carolann McDonald, Quinn McDonald, Ryan McDonald, Julia Routly, Jaylene Routly; her great-grandchildren, Falon Laprise, Avery Haden Hovdebo, Emma Chenard, Kane Chenard; her brothers, Ray (Nancy) McKay, Sam (Marcella) McKay; her sisters, Becky McKenzie, Marg Beament, Ollie Kelly, and Rose (Greg) Kirkwood; her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John Rodrick & Mary Anne (nee Charles); her sister, Nora Miller; the father of her children, Neil Hovdebo; her brother, Richard McKay; her sister, Rita Marlene McKay; her son, Robin James Hovdebo; her grandson, Robin Tyler Hovdebo; numerous other relatives. Ida’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at La Ronge Lutheran Fellowship, in La Ronge, SK, Pastor Cody Cooper officiating. Interment to follow at Lac La Ronge Anglican Church Cemetery.
