Jacob Ratt was born on Sunday, September 9, 1945, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in La Ronge, SK, at the age of 73 years. Jacob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice Ratt (nee Venne); his sons, Daryl Ratt, Jacob R Ratt (Molly); his daughter, Shivon Venne (Davin Pelly); his grandchildren, Jake, Kenneth and Roman; his special nieces, Giselle Thomas, Christina Ratt; his sisters, Sally Salisbury (David), Eileen Johnson, Eva Roberts, Flora Ratt; his brother, Chris Ratt (Judy); his stepbrother, Vincent Charles; his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Colin Venne (Hilda), Riley Venne (Mary), Alfred Venne (Beatrice), Sandy Venne (Susan), Gerald Venne, Linda Ratt (Zack), Darlene Venne, Mary Venne (George), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Isabella (nee McKenzie) Ratt; his sister, Mary Chapman; his brother, Alex McKenzie; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Thompson & Nora Venne; his brothers-in-law, Antoine Roberts, Herbert Venne, Leonard Venne and numerous other relatives. Jacob’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019, All Saints Anglican Church, La Ronge, SK, Tom Sanderson, Edna Mirasty, and James Eninew officiating.
