It is with the greatest amount of sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend Julia Eliana Gallegos on June 24th, 2019 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan surrounded by many loved ones. She was well known to her friends and family as Eliana, to her grandchildren she was known as “Nana” and “Tia” to many others.
Eliana was born on December 5th, 1939 to Andrea Marambio and Julio Nuñez in Coquimbo, Chile. She married Mauricio Gallegos in 1966 and started their life that would culminate in 53 loving years. In 1979 they began a new journey with their 5 children Mauricio Jr., Sergio, Jaime, Viviana, and Antonio and moved to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where the children grew up and started families of their own. Eliana always made sure that her family’s needs were met and assured the home was maintained for everyone’s happiness. Eliana had a strong faith and attended Sunday services at St. Joseph’s Parish when she was able to alongside her daughter, Viviana. 
Eliana was predeceased by her mother, Andrea Marambio, her father Julio Nuñez, her mother-in-law Maria Dueñas and her brother-in-law Sergio C. Gallegos. Her memory will be forever remembered by her husband, Mauricio Gallegos; her children, Mauricio Jr., Sergio (Marcia) and their children: Marco (Sulina) and Jillian (Kyle) Ross and their children: Lily and Liah; Jaime and his children: Miguel (Kristine), Ysabel (Montana), and Andrea; Viviana (Babak) Ghazanfari and their children: Parissa and Aidan; and Antonio (Cindy) and their children: Kiana, Parker, and Natalia. She will also be missed by two close nieces, Myriam and Claudia, as well as numerous other relatives, friends and her beloved dog, Tobi. 
The prayer service/visitation for Eliana will be held on Friday, June 28th at 7:00 PM at River Park Funeral Home, Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Her funeral will be Saturday, June 29th at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Parish, 260 25th St. East, Prince Albert, Father Doan officiating. Following the service, a come-and-go lunch will be held in the basement of St. Joseph’s Parish.
