John Halcrow was born on Saturday, April 3, 1937, in Birch Portage, SK, and passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 82 years. John is survived by his loving family, his wife, Maggie Halcrow; his children, Linda (Jack) Endall, Flora (Pat) Halcrow, Kathleen (Jim) Churchill, Marlene (Emile) Halcrow, Bonnie (Jonas) McKenzie, Barb (Jared) Halcrow, John Jr. (Vanessa) Halcrow, Roland (Jana) Halcrow; his siblings, Annie Sewap, Jane Morin, Maggie Highway, Margaret B. Ballantyne; his special nephew, David S. Custer; his daughter-in-law, Leona Halcrow; his 45 grandchildren, his 63 great chapans, his one great-great chapan; his sisters-in-law, Clara (Gilbert) Linklater, Evelyne Sr. McCallum, Suzette Ratt; his brothers-in-law, Roy (Loretta) Ballantyne, Thomas Morin; his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles & Sally (nee Custer) Halcrow; his sisters, Maggie and Mary Ann; his parents-in-law, Athense and Eliza McCallum; his brothers, Walter, Isiah, David; his son, Ivan Halcrow; his daughter, Karen Halcrow; his grandchildren, Roland Jr. Halcrow, Ryan Halcrow, Cody Halcrow (chapan); his brothers-in-law, Robert Highway, Alphonse Sewap, Philip Ratt, Arthur McCallum, J.B. McCallum, Napoleon Merasty; his sister-in-law, Jean Merasty; his daughter-in-law, Josephine Halcrow. The Prayer Service will be held for John at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, Margaret Ferchuck officiating, and the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 3, 2019, at St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK, Father Heinner Paucar officiating.
