Roger Isadore Joseph Boutin passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at his home in St. Louis, SK. Roger was born on Saturday, June 25, 1949, in Prince Albert, SK. He was the third and middle child, to parents Jeanne and Adjutor Boutin. He was raised on the farm at Northern Lights. After his father passed, he continued farming. On October 12, 1974 he married Pauline Laplante and they remained at the farm for one year. They then relocated to Prince Albert and expanded their family with one daughter and one son, Aimee and Richard. Roger worked for Co-op Implements, Northland trucks and Volvo Inc. as a mechanic. During this time, he attended Siast and eventually acquired his “Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate”!  
In 1985 Roger moved his family to St. Louis where he opened the family business, Bridge Side Service Garage. He worked as a heavy duty mechanic servicing all the neighboring farmers’ equipment as well as the general mechanics of all types of vehicles. He also ran a tow truck service. 
Roger was also very active in the community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered on the finance committee and also on the Credit Union and Curling Rink boards. He was a volunteer for the Fire Department for 20 years and served as Chief for a couple of terms. He was one of a group of people that spearheaded the “Beavers Organization” for the children in St Louis. 
Roger retired and sold the family business in 2007. He then worked for various farmers, and then acquired a job with Gaudet Trees, he worked for them for a number of years. This was a job that was dear to his heart. 
On November 1, 2018, Roger was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He battled until his passing at home on May 17, 2019. 
Roger leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Pauline (nee Laplante) of 44 years; his daughter, Aimee (Rueben) McDougall; his son, Richard (Sarah); his grandchildren, Noah, Presley and Sam McDougall, Bradley, Cody, Sadie and Maggie Boutin; his four brothers, Dennis (Linda), Paul (Jeanne), Rosaire (Liz), Real (Janice); his brothers-in-law, Jim, Ken (Donna), Martin (Linda); his sisters-in-law, Avis, Rosemary (Larry), Daphne, Judy (Paul), Gail, Wendy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his dad, Adjutor; his mom, Jeanne; his father-in-law, Louis Laplante; his mother-in-law, Joyce Laplante; his brothers-in-law, Robert, Alan, Frank, Don and Roy; his sister-in-law, Irene; his daughter-in-law, Angela Boutine; his great-niece, Darby. The Funeral Service for Roger will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church.
