Derek Wood

1945 – 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Derek Wood announce his passing on March 8, 2019, at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert with his family by his side. Derek had been diagnosed with cancer for the third time and succumb to Acute Myeloid Leukemia the age of 73. Barbara and Derek lived life to the fullest and never let sickness or any obstacle stop them from being active and traveling the world. Derek’s memory will be forever cherished by his wife Barbara, children David (Alina) Wood, Christopher (Clare) Wood and daughter Kimberly (Max) Pedley, two grandchildren: Matthew and Otilia Wood, sisters: Margaret Dobson and Hilary Cleary as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Private Family Service will be held at Grays Funeral Chapel to Celebrate Derek’s memory. Those so wishing can make memorial donations in Derek’s memory to War Amps, 1 Maybrook Dr, Scarborough, ON M1V 5K9
