James Robert “Jimmy” McDonald was born on Saturday, August 5, 1948, in Sandy Bay, SK, and passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 70 years. Jimmy is survived by his loving family, his wife, Gladys McDonald; his sisters, Judy (Paul) Morin, Maryann McDonald; his brother, Ralph (Irene) McDonald; his children, Alfred (Michelle), Cynthia (Tim), James Jr., Scott Sr. (Nicole), Deanna (Perry Sr.), Arnold Sr., Stephen (Rose), Germaine; his special grandson, Mark McDonald; his grandchildren, Todd, John, Milton, Margaret, Holden, Dallas, Kendall, Zoe, Perry Jr., Scott Jr., Aliyah, Arianna, Alyshia, Aurora, Ariella, Arnold Jr., MiKayla, Dominic, Cadence, Caden, Carson, Emily, Connor, Mason, Madison, Jayson, Karson, Sean, Mark, Shailyn, Gawain, Raelynn, Silvino; his great-grandchildren, Alfred, Wapask, Jaxtyn, Antoine, Layton; his godchildren, Cindy Merasty, Holly Caribou-Nelson, Marvin Bear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives. He was predeceased by his daughter, Stephanie McDonald; his parents, Etienne & Marguerite McDonald; his father and mother-in-law, Frank & Rosie Ray; his sisters, Victoria (Paul) Caribou, Mary Jane McDonald, Eliza McDonald, Marie M. Bear; his brothers, Charles, John and Louis McDonald; his grandson, Baby Boy Morin-McDonald; his brothers-in-law, Howard Ray “Rocky”, Martin Ray; his sisters-in-law, Jane Ray, Veronique Ray. A prayer service will be held for Jimmy at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, in Sandy Bay, SK, Father Heinner Paucar officiating.
