Rita Marlene McKay was born on Sunday, August 6, 1950, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in La Ronge, SK, at the age of 68 years. Rita is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Sharon Ross (Daniel Fingarsen), Ann Calladine; her grandchildren, Marquis Colby Fetterly, Keenan Fetterly, Kiara Calladine (Aaron Bell), and Alayna Calladine; her brothers, Ray (Nancy) McKay, Sam (Marcella) McKay; her sisters, Ida Hovdebo, Becky McKenzie, Margaret Beament, Ollie Kelly, Rose (Greg) Kirkwood; her brothers and sisters in fellowship; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John Rodrick & Mary Ann McKay (nee Charles); her sister, Nora Miller; her brother, Richard McKay; the father of her children, Jack Ross; her special aunt, Lydia McAuley, her special friend, Marion Berry; and numerous other relatives. Rita’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at La Ronge Lutheran Fellowship, in La Ronge, SK, Reverend Wayne Olson officiating. Interment to follow at La Ronge and District Cemetery.
