His siblings: Ernest Gunville, Janet Bear (Ronnie), Joan Bodnarchuk (Perry), Emile Gunville (Dawn), William “Bill” Gunville (Pam), Genien Spiller (Larry), and Lorraine Gunville (Earl); special cousin: Angie Stavely; special friends: George Bellerose and Howard Bellerose as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Albert was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Marion Gunville; brother, Anthony “Tony” Gunville and his nephew Brian Diebel.
Albert was born in Leduc, Alberta on April 28, 1968 to Arthur and Marion Gunville (Lennie). Much of his younger years were spent growing up in Adanac, SK and Wilkie, SK. For most of his adult life, he lived and worked in Prince Albert. Over the years, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator, general labourer, food service worker, housekeeping aide and a maintenance worker. Albert was also a Special Care Assistant while he worked towards obtaining his accreditation as a License Practical Nurse. He really was in his element when he worked in the healthcare field; his caring nature and down-to-earth personality put his patients at ease, and he felt he really made a difference. Anyone who had the privilege of working with him knew he worked hard and took pride in his work.
Albert possessed many positive qualities, but he will be best remembered by his good company. He surrounded himself with family and friends and always nourished the relationships that were dear to him. He treasured his children and he was proud of each and every one of them. He spoke of his kids to the highest regard and was always willing to share stories and show pictures of them. His quick wit and fiery personality, paired with his great sense of humour, will be missed dearly. His natural cheeriness made it difficult to have anything but a good time while with him. He had many friends and literally would give the shirt off his back if they needed it. To him, the world was a beautiful place and he was grateful for all that he had. His big bright smile and cheeky humour will be missed by many.
