Mary Laura Albers

April 8, 1925 – February 28, 2019

It is with sadness that the Albers family announce the loss of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Mary Albers on Thursday, February 29, 2019 at the Birchview Care Home in Birch Hills, SK.  Mary was born in Paddockwood, SK on April 8, 1925 to Mr. and Mrs. Stapleton. She met and later married John William Albers and to this union two children were born Ken and Brenda. With a lot of love to give Dale Fiddler joined the family and became her third addition. Mary’s memory will be cherished by her son: Ken (Pam) Albers – grandchildren Casey (Brighton) and Jay Albers – great grandson Easton; her daughter Brenda Bourque – grandchildren Aaron (Nadine) Bourque – great grandchildren Josh and Gabby – granddaughter Gwen Bourque – great grandchildren Vicki and Mackenzie; and Dale Fiddler (foster son).  She was predeceased by her husband John Albers; brothers Bob Stapleton, Charlie Stapleton, Gil Stapleton and John Stapleton; grandson Chris Bourque and son-in-law Garry Bourque. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Birchview Care Home in Birch Hills, to all the staff and volunteers making Mary’s last year’s memorable and comfortable.
