December 18, 1934- December 10, 2018
83 years young
Jim was born near Leipzig SK to Edward and Theresa (nee Keller) Miller and never strayed far from home until joining the Canadian Forces to serve overseas. While stationed in Germany, he enjoyed extensive travel, but he was a Prairie Boy at heart and returned home to raise his family in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Jim was creative and loved woodworking, gardening, cooking, and baking. He enjoyed fishing and all outdoor activities. His heart was close to the earth and he found contentment in the simple pleasures of life.
Jim had an extreme love for his family and also for God. He rarely worried about the future because of his deeply rooted faith in God’s Love. He firmly believed it was how you treated others and not how often or where you attended church that proved your worthiness in God’s eyes. In that way, he had an understanding that many fail to achieve.
Jim passed away peacefully at home after a very short but difficult battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by:
His wife Rebecca (nee Yasinchuk). Children; Donna (Earl) Jenson, Dominic (Zoë Wallace), Christopher (Tamara Cutting) and Nataya. Granddaughters; Kyla and Ashlyn Jenson. His brother Daniel (Helen) Miller and numerous, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
