Edward Stanley Charles “Big Stan” was born on Wednesday, February 2, 1953, in Stanley Mission, SK, and passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018, in La Ronge, SK, at the age of 65 years. Big Stan is survived by his loving family, his wife, Betsy Ross; his children, Jean Venne (Ronnie Ross), Victoria Ross (Andrew Ross), and Annie Ross; his special grandchildren, Solomon Abel Ross (Roxanne), Rickey Ross, Ellen, and Tony Ross; his brothers, William T. Charles (Lillian Charles), Harvey L Charles, Charlie Charles, and Victor Charles; his sisters, Melinda McLeod (Ervin McLeod), and Jean Ratt; his great-grandchildren, Azura Charles, Jeptha Ross, Tony Ross III, Jean Betsy Ross, Dalton Ross, Cassandra Ross, and Carter Ross; his God children, Sandra Halkett, Brian Ross; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Bella and Edward Charles; his parents-in-law, Caroline and Solomon Ross; his grandson, Randy Cedric Ross; his brother, Cornelius Charles. Big Stan’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Archdeacon Adam McKay Anglican Church, in Hall Lake, SK, Tom Sanderson and Edna Mirasty officiating. Interment to follow at Hall Lake Cemetery.
