Douglas Victor Roderick Halkett “Fats” was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1969, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, La Ronge, SK, at the age of 49 years. Douglas is survived by his loving family, his wife, Geraldine Venne; his children, Darla Venne (Dexter), Tyson Venne (Shelby), Carlton Venne, Harriett Ross (Travis), Douglas Jr. Ross (Sherry), and Lisa Ross; his grandchildren, Kathleen, Starla, Hailey, Douglas Jr., Cruise, Chase, Haylee, Cole, Myla, Tyreese, Julie, Langston, and Mia; his parents, Frank Ross and Muriel Isbister (Ralph); his grandmother, Victoria Halkett; his brothers, Frank Halkett (Maggie), Jamie Roberts, Kitchener Ross, Oscar Ross, and Simon Ross; his sisters, Ruby Halkett, Tina Halkett, Jessie Halkett, Eliza Ross, Kathleen Ross, Nicole Ross, Georgina Ross, and Jennifer Ross. He was predeceased by his child, Morgan Venne; his granddaughter, Victoria Halkett; his grandfathers, Douglas Halkett, Simon P. Ross; his grandmother, Helen Ross; his sister, in infancy. A funeral service for Douglas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2018, at All Saints Anglican Church, in La Ronge, SK, Tom Sanderson and Edna Mirasty officiating.
