It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, daughter, sister, TuTu and friend to many, Jennifer June Villeneuve (nee Arcand). After many struggles with various illnesses she passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 with her family by her side, at the age of 48 years.
Jenny was born on Sunday, June 14, 1970, in Big River, SK, to George and Therese Arcand. After some time the family moved to Prince Albert a place she loved and called home.
Jenny attended St. Paul’s and St. Michael’s School up until grade 6. She then attended Boucher Jr. High from grades 7-9 moving on to St. Mary’s and SIAST to complete her adult 12. After this she explored a few different educational opportunities and ultimately completed the Lab Technician program through Gabriel Dumont Institute. This led to her career of a Lab Tech with Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. Jenny was proficient in her job and was appreciated by her coworkers. She enjoyed what she did and was very professional and friendly to all people that she worked with.
In the early 90s, Jenny met her best friend and the love of her life, Darrell. After 15 years together, they made it official and married on Saturday, August 8, 2009. Together they had 4 wonderful children and were blessed with 2 grandchildren. Jenny was also a stepmother to Darrell’s 2 children and again they were blessed with 3 more grandchildren.
Jenny loved the simple things in life. She had an immeasurable love for her husband and children. They were the light of her life. Together with Darrell they made sure their children were loved and well taken care of. Jenny liked a challenge and enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles. She also enjoyed playing Risk, Skip Bo and many other board games including Scrabble with Darrell, her children and family. She was a master dice player and Yahtzee player. She had a great love for Disney movies and all genres of music. Her favorite artists include Tom Petty, Tragically Hip, CCR, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and many more. Jenny made sure many evenings were spent with her husband and children on the floor of their living room with Movies and Munchies. One of Jenny’s favorite things to do was to stop in at “Crazytown”.
