James (Jim) Larry Szell

July 1, 1942- July 7, 2018

Jim would like to let you know that his work here is done.  He got the call, the sort of offer you can’t refuse.  You know, the one for the million dollar contract, your ticket comes in kind of a job, a job from which he won’t be returning.  This contract from the Big Guy comes with a huge sign-on bonus, including a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time, and job security too.   The location has the most beautiful forests, rivers, lakes and streams . . . you know, God’s Country.   This job includes socializing, dancing, fishing, tinkering, and practical jokes; music, laughter, and love are guaranteed.  The treats are sweet and pult is always on the menu with the odd shot of whiskey.  He left detailed instructions for family and friends to celebrate his promotion each in their own way.

Jim is survived by:

His loving wife Annette (nee Gervais) of 57 years

His children: Shelley Walchuk (Terri  Hart), Bonnie (Ken) Kisser, Darwin (Debbie Schutte) Szell, Cheryl Szell (Ken Davidson), Kim (David) Millar

His grandchildren:  Chad and Michelle Walchuk; Steven and Corey Kisser; Sarah and Bria Szell; Kristle Pearce, Erica, Chaz, Randi and Calvin Millar

His great grandchildren:  Kaylee, Easton, Lynden Kisser; Brandon Jones, Daxton Pearce

Jim was predeceased by:

His Parents: Alex Szell and Anna Johanna Johnson

His Brothers: Fred, Alec, Marvin and Wilfred Anderson

His Son: Kenneth James Szell
