Mom was born in Prince Albert and attended school at Elk Range. She worked at LaValle’s store in Christopher Lake. She married “Short” on December 12, 1944. They spent their life on the family farm in the Beaton community. Mom was active for many years in the community club. In her younger years she enjoyed playing ball and later curled in the senior league. Mom always enjoyed her garden and putting out feed for the birds. She would never turn down an opportunity to go berry picking or fishing. Mom’s summers were spent tending to her flowers as well as endless hours on the lawn tractor keeping the yard groomed. There was always baking to be enjoyed especially buns which the grandchildren loved. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #26 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 or to a charity of their choice.
