1990 – 2018
Sadly, the family of Deidre Renee Morin, late of Big River First Nation, announce her sudden passing on February 3, 2018 at the young age of 27 years. Deidre was born on August 10, 1990 in Edmonton, Alberta to Neva Kiskotagan and Nelson Kyle Morin.
Deidre is lovingly remembered by her husband, Arnold Preston Dreaver; her children Casten Morin, Renee Dreaver, Aleaha Dreaver, Arnold Jr. Dreaver; her father, Nelson (Lillian) Morin; her mother, Neva Kiskotagen; her sisters Samantha Morin (Logan Greyeyes); Marley Gardipy; Reanna Wahobin; her brothers Nelson Morin Jr. (Jessica Bird); Justin Turgeon (Megan Beaulac); Jared Paul; Corey Gardipy; Lonnie Kiskotagen; Jared Wohobin; Harley Gardipy; Her parents-in-law, Gary Rabbitskin and Lorette Dreaver; as well as an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Deidre is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Wilson and Madeline Morin; her maternal grandmother, Rema Oxebin; her step-grandfather, John Halkett; her sister, Kimberly Thunderblanket; her brother, Morgan Turgeon; her great grandparents, George and Dora Morin; her uncle, Roger Morin; and her cousin, Edmond Morin.
The Wake Service for Deidre will commence on Monday, February 5, 2018 from the Big River First Nation Band Hall, and the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Big River First Nation Band Hall. Officiants will be Mervin Dreaver, Orville Morin, and Marshall Dreaver.
Acknowledgment to her grandmothers: Bertha, Virginia, Florence Dreaver, Theresa Rabbitskin and her friends Sunshine Dreaver, Leane Dreaver, Jessica Swiftwolfe, Belinda Crookedneck, Robert and Maxine Bear. Active pallbearers will be Harvey Morin, Dakota Rabbitskin/Morin, Duncan Morin, Kelly Dreaver, Clifford “Pete” Bear, and Elvis Dreaver. Deidre will be laid to rest in the Whitefish Anglican Cemetery on Big River First Nation.
