Man arrested in shooting incident

RCMP have arrested one man in connection with a shooting incident on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band earlier this month.

The RCMP have now arrested Preston Gordon Ratt, 21. Ratt is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident and is scheduled to appear in court in La Ronge Tuesday morning.

The incident happened Feb. 8. La Ronge RCMP responded to reports of a vehicle being shot at while it was parked in front of a home.

Charges against Preston Ratt include reckless discharge of a firearm, assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of firearm in motor vehicle, use of firearm in commission of offence, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm when prohibited and mischief over $5,000..
