La Ronge RCMP searching for missing man

UPDATE: The La Ronge RCMP have reported as of 8 a.m. Austin Smith has been located alive and well.

La Ronge RCMP are looking to the public for assistance in locating a 24-year-old man.

Austin Smith was last seen July 24 and RCMP describe him as being approximately 6-0 and weighing approximately 250 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Smith’s loved ones and police are concerned for his wellbeing.

Police have conducted searches in Smith’s neighbourhood and made attempts to contact him through his cellphone, but have been unsuccessful in locating Smith or determining his whereabouts. At this time, RCMP believe it may be possible Smith is still in the tri-communities.

Anyone who may have seen Austin Smith or has knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact the La Ronge RCMP detachment at 1-306-425-6730 or your local police service.
