Sask. Housing looking to partner with community organizations for affordable housing project
The Saskatchewan Housing Corporation is now accepting proposals from community organizations to create more affordable rental housing.
According to a media release, those eligible to apply include non-profit housing organizations, community based service providers, municipal and Indigenous governments, and private entrepreneurs.
The purpose of the project is create more housing opportunities for those in the community who need help finding a place to live as well as maintaining stable housing.
“Our government recognizes there is a need for more supportive housing for those who experience complex challenges,” Social Services Minister and Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation Lori Carr said. “I look forward to seeing the innovative ideas of community organizations and working together with them to better support people in need of safe, affordable housing that meets their needs.”
