Pelican Narrows RCMP investigating recent assault, one man arrested

A recent assault has led to the arrest of a 24-year-old man.

The Pelican Narrows RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured woman at a residence in Pelican Narrows on the evening of Feb. 22. Officers located the woman with non-life threatening injuries and transported her to hospital.

As a result of the investigation, River Jason James Charles has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, failure to comply with a peace bond and mischief under $5,000.

Charles has been remanded in custody and will make his next court appearance on Feb. 25 at 10:00 a.m. before the Prince Albert Provincial Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
