LLRIB general election set for March 30

Information has been released about the upcoming Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) 2023 general election.

According to an announcement made Thursday, a nomination meeting will be held on March 9. That will be followed by advance polls on March 22 and the general election day on March 30.

Electronic voting, which is occurring for the first time for a general election, begins at 10 a.m. on March 18 and ends 11:59 p.m. on March 29.

Notices confirming details and locations for nomination meetings, advance polls, and the general election will be posted by mid-February. Information on electronic voting will be posted no later than March 1st.

Information packages for band members seeking elected office (chief or councillor) will be available at all band offices and the LLRIB website by mid-February.
