Construction on Lloydminster’s Holy Rosary High School is done.

Work on the project started in December 2021 with the Government of Saskatchewan contributing $4.2 million and the Government of Alberta giving $5.8 million.

The school now has 16 more state-of-the-art classrooms, a resource centre, and a practical and applied arts space. There is also a dedicated Dream Catcher Space, designed in collaboration with local Elders, which will serve as a hub for Cree language studies and lessons on Indigenous culture.

“Our government is proud to have contributed to this successful project,” said Jeremy Cockrill, Saskatchewan’s Education Minister. “This modernized facility will provide students with a cutting-edge environment where they can thrive and achieve even greater educational success.”

The new additions mean the school can support up to 1,200 students. Previously, only around 750 students could properly be accommodated.

“Together, we’re shaping a brighter future for our students, our city, and our world,” added Paula Scott, Chair of the Lloydminster Catholic School Division Board.
