RCMP seize over 17,000 unstamped cigarettes in Humboldt

Humboldt and Lanigan RCMP made a big seizure earlier this week.
On Friday, police executed a search warrant at a residence in the City of Humboldt as a result of a six-month investigation into the selling of unstamped tobacco products.
There, they found over 17,000 unstamped cigarettes and charged 74-year-old Joseph John Therres from Humboldt with possession of unstamped tobacco for the purpose of sale and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Therres is set to make his first appearance in Humboldt Provincial Court on Monday, November 20, 2023.
