La Ronge RCMP investigate shooting

La Ronge RCMP are looking for anyone who may have witnessed a shooting earlier this week.

On June 10 at about 1:15 a.m., police received a report of an injured individual receiving treatment at the local hospital.

Officers responded immediately and confirmed an injured man was receiving treatment for what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The injuries are described as serious in nature.

An investigation has determined an altercation occurred between three adult males, a firearm was discharged and the victim was injured.

La Ronge RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the La Ronge area during the evening of June 9 or early morning of June 10 to contact them.
