Ice Wolves host Hockey School ahead of weekend Main Camp
The Ice Wolves are hosting its annual Hockey School in La Ronge this week ahead of its Main Camp starting on Friday in Aberdeen.
The Hockey School, which is for minor hockey players between the ages of five and 17, is full this year with 82 participants. It is described as a fundamental school, which includes skill building in the areas of power skating, crossovers, stops and starts, shooting, passing and tight turns.
Ice Wolves Head Coach Kevin Kaminski explained it is a good way for young athletes to warm up for the minor hockey season about to begin.
“Some of the kids after the camp, they’ll go skate in Prince Albert for AA or whatever they are trying out for,” he said.
