Sonya is survived by her loving family, her mother, Alvina Charles; her common-law partner, Berry Bighead; her children, Maxine Amelia Charles, Eric Thomas Charles, Sarah Louise Charles; her adopted son, Dreyden Badger; her special grandchildren, Bentley (Benny Boo), and Chenel (Tumbleweed) Sanderson, Kaylee Sanderson; her brothers, Edgar (Dee) Charles, Soloman Charles; her sisters, Tanya Charles, Stephanie Charles; her adopted sister, Bonnie Halkett; her adopted brother, Thomas Tom Roberts; her grandmother, Rosalie Bird; her mother & father-in-law, Sharron & Ralph Bighead; her special friends, Trevor McLeod, Shirley Badger, Nikki Shandelle Bird, Jordan Bird, Jeffrey Badger.

She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Charles; her adopted parents, Louis Badger, Laurie; her grandparents, Albert Bird, Gilbert & Mary Charles; her great-grandparents, Soloman & Sarah Naytowhow, Amelik & Lillian Halkett, George & Charlotte Bird.

The Wake Services for Sonya will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 5, 2024, and Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Red Hall, Montreal Lake Side, in Little Red River Reserve, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Red Hall, Montreal Lake Side, in Little Red River Reserve, SK, with Bishop Adam Halkett, and Rev. Harry Halkett officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery, in Little Red River Reserve, SK.
