RCMP investigating sudden death in Sucker River

Police continue to investigate the sudden death of a 29-year-old woman found outside a residence in Sucker River.

According to RCMP Staff Sgt. Rob Embree, members of the La Ronge RCMP detachment were notified of a deceased person on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band reserve Jan. 11. Police will continue to investigate along with the Office of the Chief Coroner, he said, and an autopsy date has not yet been confirmed.

“We do not have any further information to be released at this time and we cannot speculate on the cause of death,” Embree said.
