Broncos’ Kaleb Dahlgren signs with York University
Humboldt Broncos Forward Kaleb Dahlgren may have suffered significant injuries in the team’s tragic bus crash just over a month ago, but that hasn’t stopped him from moving up in the hockey world.
Dahlgren signed a letter of intent committing to the York University Lions men’s hockey team, which means he could play for the club as early as next season. The Lions have made it clear the offer will remain intact “as long as necessary” to give Dahlgren all the time he needs to recover.
Dahlgren was one of the 29 passengers on board the Humboldt Broncos’ bus which collided with a semi-trailer April 6 leaving 16 dead and 13 with varying injuries.
“I will honour their legacy in all I do as I carve my own path forward at York, on the ice and off,” Dahlgren wrote on social media.
