La Ronge RCMP launch positive ticketing campaign

May 16, 2018 | 8:00 AM

The La Ronge RCMP will be giving out a different kind of ticket for a week starting May 13.

Young people displaying positive behaviour toward others and their community, along with sober drivers, could earn a special treat courtesy of the La Ronge Dairy Queen. That’s according to an RCMP press release, which also stated officers will be hosting a check stop at an undisclosed location some time during the week in honour of National Impaired Driving Day.

“Positive ticketing aims to identify positive youth and residents within the community, and that their efforts do not go unrecognized,” the email stated. “Drivers that are cleared from the check stop will have their name entered into a draw for two prizes sponsored by North Sask Victim Services.”
