Charges laid in Montreal Lake gun incident

RCMP have now laid charges in connection to an incident last week at Montreal Lake Cree Nation, involving shots fired.
 
Robert Bird and Julian Ganton face a total of 13 charges including stealing a gun, carrying a gun for a dangerous purpose, and breaching previous court conditions. Court dates have not been set and RCMP have told paNOW more charges are possible.
 
No one was hurt in the incident last Thursday. A total of five people were initially arrested without incident. 

Both the local band office and school were temporarily locked down as a precaution.
