Cocaine seized during drug bust in La Ronge

Cocaine and cash were seized Nov. 15 after a search warrant was executed at an apartment along Studer St. in La Ronge.

That’s according to an RCMP press release, which stated the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team and La Ronge RCMP seized 91 grams of cocaine, $1,150 in cash and other items during the search of the residence. The investigation is ongoing.

Police stated three people were charged in the bust including 22-year-old Filmon Tiku of Edmonton with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, failure to comply with an undertaking and possession of proceeds of crime. Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking charges were also laid against 33-year-old Katrina Bird of La Ronge and 32-year-old Kyle Natomagan of Pinehouse Lake.

All three appeared in provincial court Nov. 16 in La Ronge.
