La Ronge RCMP lay charges amid Air Ronge break-and-enters

La Ronge RCMP have arrested a male youth after responding to a call about a break-and-enter in progress.

That’s according to an RCMP new release, which stated officers were called to a residence on Waco Drive in Air Ronge Nov. 20 about a break-and-enter in progress. During investigative efforts, a male youth was apprehended and is facing two counts of break-and-enter.

Between Nov. 16 to 21, the RCMP stated there have been reports of approximately five break-and-enters in the Air Ronge area with some residences being victimized twice. With assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, police are currently processing the scenes to determine if there’s a connection between the events. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

The La Ronge RCMP is requesting individuals residing in the Air Ronge area to review their video surveillance for suspicious persons. Anyone with information relating to the events is asked to call the La Ronge RCMP at 1-306-425-6730 or to leave an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
