RCMP have arrested a 12-year-old male from the La Ronge area in relation to a number of damaged vehicles in both La Ronge and Air Ronge.

According to a media release the youth has been charged with 28 counts of mischief.

The accused, who cannot be named, will appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Monday Dec. 3 at 1:30 p.m.

The investigation into the damaged vehicles is still ongoing. The RCMP would like to thank everyone who provided surveillance video and called police with information relating to the mischiefs.

The La Ronge RCMP have had a large number of reported thefts from vehicles over the last few weeks.

It appears the suspects are opportunistic, targeting vehicles that have items out in plain view. The RCMP would like to remind citizens to take all their belongings out of their vehicles at night and ensure they are locked to make them less likely to be targeted.
