Police arrest four, seize loaded handgun

The Prince Albert Police Service has made several arrests following a search of a local apartment.

At 7:55 p.m. on Jan. 9 the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) executed a search warrant on an apartment on the 500 block of 28 St. E.

Four people were arrested inside the residence. During the search police located and seized: 46.3 grams of crack cocaine, a loaded revolver handgun, a large amount of Canadian currency and evidence of drug trafficking. 

The four accused are facing charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

A 23-year-old male from Prince Albert and a 19-year-old female from Pinehouse Lake, Saskatchewan are charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000 and four firearm-related offences.

A 16-year-old male youth from Toronto is charged with three breaches of a youth sentence orders in Ontario and the Yukon to not consume alcohol or drugs, possess weapons and to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

A 16-year-old from Toronto is charged with being at large of his recognizance to remain at his residence and to not possess weapons.

ISET is made up of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
