Visitor centre nets $25,000 worth of sales last month

It was a busy holiday season at the Lac La Ronge Visitor Centre with more than $25,000 being spent on local art and products.

Fabric collage artwork on display in Mistasinihk Place

Art comes in many shapes and forms, but fabric collage is the theme of an exhibit currently on display this month at La Ronge’s Mistasinihk Place.

Called In Stitches… Again , the exhibit marks the second time the La Ronge Arts Council chose to present fabric collage pieces in.....

A Turnor Lake RCMP officer who was involved in the search for a man in medical distress on Frobisher Lake said he's doing well and recovering from his injuries.

Children North reaches halfway mark of pediatric therapy room fundraiser

Children North in La Ronge has received two large donations totalling $22,500 to purchase equipment for a pediatric therapy room currently in the works.

With $12,500 coming from the La Ronge Elk Club last week and another $10,000 from Conexus this afternoon, Executive Director Daina Lapworth said the organization.....

Four days of extreme cold warnings in La Ronge and other parts of Saskatchewan might have felt unnatural, but according to an Environment Canada meterologist, those events are typical for this time of year.

'It's new beginnings': Special ceremony marks Dene High School grand reopening

The phrase ‘Dene Strong’ was repeated over and over again at a grand reopening and memorial ceremony Jan. 18 at La Loche’s Dene High School.

While cameras and audio recording equipment weren’t permitted inside the event, hundreds of students, staff and local residents gathered in the gymnasium to celebrate.....
