Alan Buchanan

On June 25, 2018, after a lengthy illness Alan Dale Buchanan has said goodbye to his family and friends. To say Alan was a character is an understatement, once you met Al you would never forget him!
Alan was always straight forward with everyone; he told it as it was and never minced words. Plus he had a saying for every situation no matter how “politically incorrect” it was!
Alan took pride in his passion for construction and woodworking and has passed that legacy down to future generations… along with a tale or two.
Alan had spent his last 15 years in Weirdale, Saskatchewan, the town he was born and raised in. But he never was far in thought from his family in Kelowna or the years he spent in BC.
A special thank you the staff from Jubilee Lodge, Kinistino, for their compassion, empathy and dedication of care they provided for our father during these last few months.
In lieu of flowers please go to your local ball park this summer to take in a game and think of Al.
Alan will be laid to rest at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens on August 3, 2018 at 1pm with family present. We wish to invite those that knew Alan to come together to share some stories with the family on August 3, 2018 from 2-4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 2, 133 8th Street East, Prince Albert, SK.
