1929 – 2018
With sadness the family of Albert Jay Lachance, late of Big River Health Centre, formerly of Big River First Nation, announce his passing at the age of 88 years on February 25, 2018. Albert was born on August 23, 1929 in Big River, SK to Agnes Rabbitskin and Gilbert Lachance.
The Wake Service for Albert will commence on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. from the Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School Gymnasium on Big River First Nation, with the Funeral Service taking place on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. also from the school gym. Interment will take place in the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery. Albert is lovingly remembered by his sister, Roseanne Moses of Saddle Lake, AB; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Agnes Lachance; his step-father, Dick Lachance; his sisters, Josephine and Virginia; his brothers, Samarie, Leo and David. Honorary pallbearers will be, Milton, Peter, Doris, all staff and residences of Big River Long Term Care that meant so much to Albert. Active pallbearers will be, Miles Pauls, Mark Moses, Brandon Lachance, Cheyanne Lachance, Allan Bear, Randy Lachance, and Bradley Morin.
