It is with great sadness that we announce that Alfonso Vargas passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Victoria Hospital located in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 55, following a heart attack. Alfonso passed away with his wife and one of his best friends by his side. Born October 13, 1962, at Saladoblanco, Colombia, he is the 5th of 13 children.

Dear husband of Martha Vieda and proud father of Camila and Gabriel Vargas. Predeceased by his parents Alicia Murcia and Antonio Vargas and some of his brothers. Alfonso will forever be in the hearts of his wife Martha, children Camila and Gabriel, brothers, nephews and nieces, extended family, friends and his great companion Tobby Vargas, his beloved dog.

A celebration of Alfonso’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 7th at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 4 Ave W, Prince Albert, SK. at 2:00 pm, with Father Matthew Nguyen as Celebrant, followed by a small gathering.
